Every June we have a beach party in the middle of downtown Winter Haven,
they transport in tons of sand and there is a big party all weekend.
There is even a exhibition of different sand sculptures, of course they
don't last long because of the rain. Here was our two favorites from
2004.
One of the lakes that we like to walk around in the middle of Winter Haven
is Lake Silver, it is very dog friendly and picturesque.
A large part of the money that built Winter Haven came from the citrus
industry. This is a good example of the countryside that surrounds us.
One of the newest places we go is this nice little park on the far side of
Lake Howard, this is one of the places we go and play Frisbee and do some
coaching. It's amazing to think that less than a year ago, we weren't
