This is a view of Payne's Creek from the suspension bridge that leads across to the memorial for Payne.

The creek runs into the Peace River.  You can hike down one of the trails and see where the two rivers meet.  This is a pic from across the Peace River and you can see how a lot of the root systems for the trees actually survive in full view out of the earth.

When we went down to the bank and looked in the river, here's one of the big fish we saw.

We've been to the park numerous times in the last four years, but this is the only time that Cooper and I have seen a cow wandering through the river.  Can you tell we'd just been getting through a drought?
