 This is a nice short walk that takes you down the side of the Myakka River. You cross the river not far after you get into the state park and just after you cross the bridge there is a parking area on the right. This is the trail head. The level of access is very determined on the rainfall and some of this trail might not be accessible all year long. We did this hike in early May which is probably one of the best times for access. However, this year was one of our driest ever and you can see below as part of the river area was dried up.
