Cypress
Gardens is a good place to go for a nice relaxing and fun afternoon.
It was the very first place in Central Florida to be called a theme park
and has a bit of history behind it.
This is what you see when you first get in the park, a little main street
with lots of shops and restaurants. You can get some real good
southern cooking here.
There are street performers on the main street on a regular basis, can you
guess these guys were singing country?
Following the southern theme there are some really nice gardens in the
park we spent a lot of our time there. There is even an old southern
plantation house.
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing this was here sitting on all the land the
park is situated on for a long time before they thought about Cypress
Gardens.
As part of the gardens surrounding the house, there was a butterfly arboretum,
this is one of the occupants.
