Coopies in amongst the really long prairie grass on one of the first days
of Spring in 2005.

In the preserve they had some experiments going on to help understand one
of the endangered species that lives here...............the Sand
Skink. This was a protected part of the environment that was set up
as part of the study to help the lizards.

This is evidence that the flooding from all the hurricanes last year will
take a while to really get back to normal. It does make for a nice
pic though.

Gizzy managed to get Angus to co-operate in a joint squirrel pic for the
Crooked Lake Prairie section.

Here the first view of Crooked Lake, once you walk across all the prairie
trails.
